FuseDocs can automatically annotate documents with an appropriate signature image, in the correct location.

There are two ways FuseDocs can be configured, depending on your business requirements:


Option 1: Signature application on approval.  

FuseDocs will insert signature placeholders into the relevant documents during the compilation process, which will then be replaced by the correct signature image when the manager or partner clicks to approve and sign the documents. Signature images are held on the profile of each user through app.fuse.work.


Option 2: Automatic signature application.  

FuseDocs will identify the signer, select the correct signature, and place it on the relevant documents during the compilation process.  Signature images are held as common resources in the App.



How to Load Signatures to your User Profile on app.fuse.work


  • Use your FuseDocs user name and password to login to app.fuse.work.  If you don't have a user account, please contact your internal FuseDocs Champion. 


  • Click on Manage Account Security.



  • Click on the green button "Replace Signature Image" and navigate to your signature image file.  If you have not prepared your signature image please refer to the detailed instructions below.


  • The uploaded signature image will appear on your profile and is now ready to be used in FuseDocs. You can now log out of your FuseDocs user account.



How to Load Signatures to Common Resources for Automatic Application


  1. Save the signature files into the FuseDocs\Images folder

  2. Open FuseDocs > Select the "Champion Tools" toolbar > Select Edit Resources [Only 'Champions' will have access to Champion Tools]



  3. Locate the resource "re_partners" or "re_managers" depending on which resource you are editing (for this example we will be editing the partners).  Select the editor icon. 
    • Please note there are two actions/icons for this resource:
      • A red cross to delete the resource
      • A book that will open the resource editor


  4. Locate the partner whose signature will be updated
     
  5. Select the "Update/Clear" button next to their name

  6. Locate the signature file

  7. Select Open to save this file into the FuseDocs Resource
    • To confirm the signature has been applied press the open button next to the relevant staff member

  8. Repeat the process for any other signatures to be updated

  9. When finished, press Done in the bottom right corner

  10. The resource/s you edited will be highlighted green to indicate which have changed


  11. Press the green Save Resources botton; you will be prompted again to make this change


  12. Close the resources tab and any open compilations
  13. Run a compilation and confirm the new signature is been applied.



How to Prepare Signature Images


The most important step when applying signatures is the collection and formatting process, please follow these tips to ensure good results:

  • Use the attached signature grid template to obtain signatures, each signature should be made to fill the height of the box;

  • The document should be scanned at 600 dpi;

  • Tools such as paint.net should be used to copy each signature to its own document;

  • Ensure that each selection/copy is of the full grid square this ensures that all signatures are the same shape and size when applied;

  • The white background should be deleted (in paint.net use the magic wand tool), leaving only the signature - any white inside the signature such as O's should be selected and deleted also;

  • The sizes of the image should be around 300x200 - most importantly is that they are uniform;

  • Signatures should be exported/saved as PNG files.



Help

FuseDocs stores all templates, partner names, manager names, artwork, etc in a shared .resource file; changes to this file will impact all FuseDocs users. If the wrong resource is edited/deleted and you need to recover please contact support@fuse.work
